Program Overview
FarmCamp offers a unique school break experience where children ages 5-13 can immerse themselves in the world of sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship. This special program is designed to coincide with school breaks, providing a fun, educational alternative to traditional childcare during these periods.
Goal of the Program
The main goal of FarmCamp is to provide children with a meaningful connection to nature and food sources, teaching them valuable life skills and environmental ethics in a fun, engaging setting.

Program Duration
Offered during: School holidays and seasonal breaks as per the local school public and private district calendars.
Daily Schedule: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (before and after care available 7:30 am - 5:30 pm)
Our Facilities
Our state-of-the-art facilities are designed to provide a comfortable and engaging atmosphere for children of all ages. We have age-appropriate toys, books, and equipment, as well as outdoor play areas and a nutritious meal program.
Activities
FarmCamp engages children in hands-on, experiential learning activities that highlight the importance of sustainable living and environmental care. Key components include:
- Gardening and Planting: Kids participate in real farming tasks, planting seeds, and learning about the growth cycle of plants.
- Animal Care: Introduction to basic care for farm animals, teaching responsibility and fostering empathy.
- Nature Walks and Eco-Exploration: Guided walks through local ecosystems to learn about biodiversity and the environment.
- Sustainability Workshops: Interactive sessions on recycling, composting, and resource conservation.
- Crafts and Creativity: Daily arts and crafts projects using natural and recycled materials.
- Cooking Classes: Farm-to-table cooking experiences where children prepare simple meals using ingredients they’ve helped grow.

Registration: Opens two months before each school break period and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

TerraTeach is the combination of small scale farms and child care locations. The mix is magic! We believe the entire country is deeply in need of better food, better childcare, and a community of individuals to help raise kids in a village. Check out this video for a small taste of our passion!
Absolutely. We believe that quality food and quality care should be available to all kids and families, regardless of income level. We offer a 15% discount for each additional student you enroll, or families can volunteer with us in exchange for a reduced fee! We do have some limited scholarships as well, so please don't let finances keep you away - contact our owner directly at jen@terrateach.org to discuss your situation.
At this time, all of our program offerings are only during the day. If you need help arranging childcare outside normal business hours, let us know and we may be able to help find you support in the community.
It all starts with fun! Our schedule is consistent from day-to-day, but it includes a wide variety of physical, creative, and educational activities. Students will enjoy our age-appropriate curriculum that challenges them to see the natural world differently. This includes growing plants, painting with chickens, adventuring with magnifying glasses, even grooming goats. Don't be surprised if dinner conversation is a little more interesting than usual!
At FarmCamp, parents are responsible for packing their kids' lunches and snacks. It's all part of the fun and preparation for a great day ahead!

Our standard program times are 8:30am-4:30pm, with drop-off from 7:30am-8:30am and pickup from 4:30pm-5:30pm.
